Day Ten

Esbu, Tilicae System, Euclid Galaxy

A big creature I spotted near the base while looking for some resources. Looks like a giant mushroom with legs.

I also found these little ones. They are tiny (think Grogu size). They run away when approached, so I couldn't get a good real world picture. I wonder if I can befriend them.

Another one of those tentacle creatures was foraging near the base. I was able to get some really good pictures.

A new flying species that I discovered, and another rainbow.

Got the battery set up at my base here, and constructed a storage container. I was right, the inventory is shared between all containers sharing the same number. I can definitely take advantage. I have learned through constructing this setup that one panel and one battery can power quite a lot - I am only using half the available power to run my teleporter and one storage container.

I wanted to stop at the space station to add it to my teleporter network and have a look around. I was attacked again by a pirate fighter, and I have realized that they are after the big stack of salvage data that I was carrying (quite valuable when you have a big stack of them). I have transferred them to my storage container along with my stack of nav data. Hopefully that will help.

I came across a drifting solar sailor during the flight. There was no one aboard, but I have coordinates leading to another star system. I must investigate.

Station visited, I head to the other set of coordinates I was already investigating, coming from an as yet uncharted world in this system. The location of another Traveler? Will they have some answers for me?

Dehaka X, Tilicae System, Euclid Galaxy

Flying toward the approximate coordinates, I encounter a colossus base. The luck has really been with me coming across these prime locations. I quickly dropped a base computer here before moving on.

Views from my flight out to the coordinates.

The surface of Dehaka X.

Whatever these red cubes are, there were sentinels guarding them.

The coordinates lead me to a crashed ship. The log is scrambled, but I recover the name 'Artemis'.

On my way back to my ship, I found these little creatures that I named Glow Turtles. They look like Earth sea turtles, but glow bright white and 'swim' though the surface soil. There was a whole group of them burrowing around. They seem friendly. Perhaps I can make friends with one now that I have the recipe for creature pellets. By far one of my favorite creature discoveries.

Tilicae System, Euclid Galaxy

Back in space, a giant station called The Anomaly appears. I could never have imagined what I would find inside. It is teeming with alien creatures and other travelers, and has access to technology I am very much in need of. Nada and Polo answer some of my questions, but leave me with many more. I can summon the Anomaly station any time that I wish to visit it. For now I get blueprints for a base landing pad, roamer exocraft geobay, and an exocraft summoner. I don't have quite enough salvage data to purchase the exocraft summoner for a frigate. I will have to set out for more salvage data (this will be much easier with my new exocraft!), as I have exhausted most of my supply purchasing these blueprints. I think it might be wise to warp back to Benzia Onum to do this, as pirates in Tilicae have attacked me to try and take my salvage multiple times.

A beautiful view as I exit the Anomaly station.

Benzia Onum, Haginema V System, Euclid Galaxy

I warped back to my home base on Benzia to install the landing pad and roamer exocraft geobay. My goal is to get the round central hub blueprint as a center to my base, and then attach the teleporter room that I have already built to that hub. I'm off to a good start!

Esbu, Tilicae System, Euclid Galaxy

When I warped back to Esbu, I caught this cool view up in the sky.

I think I want to spend some time getting more salvage data and nanites to work on my base building goals and improvements to exocraft. I intended to continue this on Esbu, but with the pirates and some of the hostile creatures, I think it will go much smoother on Benzia.
