Day Eleven

I warped to the space station here in Haginema and set out for Abhannis XVI as it is the only source of uranium that I have found so far in my travels. I need uranium to craft the exocraft summoning pad that I want. I can carry it in my exosuit and summon my exocraft anywhere in a system that has an exocraft bay built in it. 

I got a great view of Benzia Onum from orbit, and a fantastic view of Abhannis, too. Uranium deposits were found and mined without any fuss and I dropped a base computer at a trade outpost that I came across so that I can warp to Abhannis in the future when needed. Full up on the uranium I needed, I headed back to Benzia.

I drove around the surface near my base mining for convenient materials but mostly looking for buried tech so I could get salvage modules to spend doing upgrade research at the Anomaly. Though I have to get out of the roamer to scan and to mine (I don't have the upgrades yet) it is already much easier having my vehicle instead of having to walk.

With a full stack of salvage data I headed to the anomaly and did a LOT of research there. I talked to an NPC that gave me almost 2k nanites! While I was using the research terminal I noticed that I somehow got more nanites, salvage data, and even 15 ship augmentations (extra slots). I don't think they came from that NPC. It seems almost like another Traveler nearby gifted them to me but I don't even know if that's possible...? I don't know. But I got all of the research that I wanted and a whole lot more!!!

I had a lot of work to do to craft all of that new stuff, so that's mainly what I did, starting with the mining laser on the Roamer. With that done I could farm more efficiently for what I needed. I also spent time warping to my various bases checking the trade terminals and talking to different ship captains on the space stations to get some resources that I couldn't get on Benzia. With a little patience I was able to get everything.

New base built. For now just a circle room and a corridor with the storage snapped on to it. This new large base structure is really cool - components don't need any wiring, they just snap into their slots inside, or just need to be snapped onto the structure (like the container) to become part of the grid. In the case of my medium refiner, it just has to be in range and it works!!! My original panel and battery array is still more than enough to power all this which is awesome. I have lights inside and everything! Very nice upgrade, with lots more to come!

I got all of the Roamer upgrades done except for the Icarus drive (recharges the fuel during day time) - that needs storm crystals which I don't have a source for yet. But I have the advanced mining laser and all 4 of the main hazard protections, radiation, toxic, heat, and cold. I'm especially excited about the radiation one as that will make getting things like uranium on Abhannis much safer. I can drive to the deposit and only be subject to radiation while actually mining.
